1996 renault Megane behaving strangely?

Hello Ido-not much more to say-it only occasionally does the fluctuating rev counter and feeling like the clutch being pressed thing in fifth, and only then when it's going some...(60-70mph or so) I've tried cleaning the carb using an additive. it also sometimes refuses to start, unless I have the accelerator pressed about a third of the way down.

The car problem is TDC sensor or TDC connector most likely its from the connector
