Mend Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 SRI Wrong Car

whats wrong? with my vectra 2.2 sri petrol y reg 01?

i started my car, it didnt start first time, when it did it sounded very lumpy and it had lost all its power. Its smoking from around the exhaust manafold also white smoke out of the rear exhaust whats wrong???? also the engine management light comes on and off.

Lots of white smoke on hard acceleration from the rear of mine to. engine doesnt sound normal. one mechanic reckons the back box needs replacing as the components inside have broken down, it does sound rattly also.
