If the airbag light is on, the system is DISABLED!!!
The problem is, the airbag definately WON'T go off if you have an accident...
Insurance is most likely void with it inoperable as well though!!!

You dont you get the fault fixed by a proper garage. The light is on for a reason. I wouldn't drive around with a faulty airbag as it might just blow up in your face for no reason.
