Mend Faulty Cuts Fine

faulty thermostat?

hi everyone,
my fridge works intermittently.
it works ok, then cuts out for a while then comes back on again - only to work fine as before.
can anyone confirm my suspicion that i have a faulty thermostat.

hi there i have a hotpoint mistral plus fridge freezer how can i find out what model number i have as i have lost the book,the top of the fridge is plus and not a minus so it is cooking the food do you think this is the thermostat the freezer compartment seems to be working fine thanks
