My Singer 2662 sewing machine's bobbin case keeps jumping?
I've dusted and oiled the machine, thinking it would help, but the bobbin case in my Singer 2662 keeps jumping out of place. It has broken needles on occasion, in a dramatic way :), so now I'm afraid of injuring myself with it. Thanks for any help in advance.
My thread kept getting jammed in the case, turns out a piece of the plastic case was broken. Got it replaced for $30 for the part and $30 for labor(which was ridiculous because I could have done it myself)

My bobbin case is also slipping, causing thread to gather under the needle plate and the needles to break. I took it in for repair and the technician could not find a replacement bobbin case from the companies he deals with that I would need to take it to a Singer dealer. I cannot seem to find one.
Evidently Singer does make Singer machines anymore. The quality is not like my Mother's Singer. The company who does make them uses the Singer name. I also would like help.

Hello Melina,
If you have the black plastic bobbin case make sure it is tight up to the right hand side guide, if it is not then adjust the two screws and you can move it over, also make sure there are no sharp or damaged edged on the bobbin case.
