I had to take the car to a bodywork garage, he drilled into the lock from inside the door and managed to get it open. He said the lock had collapsed inside. He then fitted a new lock. Total cost including VAT £204.00

They do jam either in locked or unlocked position.That is one of this car's failures.Little electric motor inside the lock is to blame.If you can not open the door from inside then you need a mechanic.I have had to replace 2 rear locks and the boot lock as well.I have sealed them with silicone before fitting so to keep humidity away.

Something has come adrift within the door mechanism. Keep trying but if it a no go the the door has to be dismantled to sort it. Not easy with the door shut. Might be better to take it to the dealer.
