You replace brushes on motors, not fix. To replace the brushes, you need to take the back panel off the machine. First job is to take the belt off.next you will now see the motor bottom left-ish of machine from behind. There will be two bolts holding it on, either 8 or 10mm. You need to undo them, then take the earth wire off and the wiring connector block off the motor (located left hand side of the motor) then you can pull the motor out the machine ( carefull not to pull the wires off the heater or temp sensor) once you have the motor out the machine you will see the two black brush holders, both have two screws holding them on, unbo and see if the brushes are worn right down. If only about 5mm sticks out, they are very worn. Best take them to a local dealer to match them up. Re-fitting is just as case of doing everything in reverse. Hope this Helps
