How can I fix my mcculloch mac1385l gas trimmer?

I just was given a mcculloch mac1385l gas trimmer. all it need was a primer bubble. there are two small plastic stems coming out the bottom of the replacement bubble but there appears to only be one hose to attach. which one does the hose attach to, the longer or shorter one?
