Mend Engine Mower Replace

can you change the prime ball on a mower?

I have a pull lit start mower, don't know the make or model I bought it used. and the body was painted over so I cannot see the make it has a tocoma egine. the prime ball is cracked and I was wanting to know if it can be replaced.

Never heard of a Tocoma engine brand- it could be Tecumseh. If so, the primer bulbs are available seperately and are therefore replaceable. A Tecumseh agent will need the engine model and code before he will be able to ascertain which bulb to supply, so if you can't find your numbers because of the paint then take the whole mower with you and he should be able to find them for you.
