Mend Battery Electrical Warning Light

promblem with my battery light keeps coming on when i reverse ?

when i put my car into reverse the battery light comes on and the reverse lights dont work when i change back into 1st the battery light goes off why is this and wot do i do

no i brought the car 3 days ago the reverse lights was working i cleaned the car yesterday and then it stoped working ive checked the bulbs but there fine why u ask the car is a 1.5 diesel on a l plate
