fix my toyota KS777 knitting machine?

i have just been given a toyota ks777, it has been sat unused for about 10 years, whilst it worked perfectly then now when i push the carraige from left to right the needles do not move even though they move when pushing the carraige from right to left. what can be wrong and how do i fix it???

i have noticed that one of the levers on the left side of the carraige is the one that sticks, i have oiled it but to no avail

Look at the cams on the carriage, they may need a drop of WD40.
