Hi. I don't have specific knowledge of your Astra engine. However, the water pump is usually driven by the fan/alternator belt and therefore, if you follow the belt which goes round the alternator pulley, it should be driving another pulley on the end of the water pump. There may also be other belts driving the power steering pump and the air conditioning compressor.
