if u look at the front grill on the left there is a lever just sticking out pull this and lift the bonnet

Thanks for the answer to the bonnet release catch problem. I had the same trouble. My son pulled the release lever in the car while I pulled on the bonnet. The catch realeased.

Hi I had the same problem - it's a real pain. I got round it by getting someone to pull the bonnet lever (as far is it will go) whilst I fiddled around with the catch under the bonnet. It was a bit of a hit or miss.

My local garage sorted it when it was in for a MOT.
