This message appeared a week or so ago but as far as i can make out there is nothing wrong with any of the locks: all the doors lock and release ok - can anyone give me an idea of what the problem is or if i can simply reset the messaging thing?
This error code and 'Spanner' appeared on my Megane after picking it up from Body repair. Pressed ChildLock once/twice and both dissapeared immediately. So thanks for the advice on this.

I did as others have done previously and switched the child guard switch off and on a couple of times and hey presto ,problem solved! (Bye bye spanner). Thanks!

I fixed this issue today by simply pressing the child lock switc on the drives side set of buttons on and off....spanner light on dash went off and the check locks message disappeared!

Hi there all
I have also experienced the door lock mess. You will actually notice that the little reg light on the child lock button (back door window and door lock switch on the driver side) is not on.unlock and lock the doors once or twice. this has solved my problem.good luck

We had the same problem, its something to do with the child lock turn the childlock on/off and the spanner should disappear

I had the same thing after my car went to a garage for repairs to one of the wings. There is no guidance in the manual and the garage could not explain this. It stoppped after I dead locked the car (pressed the lock button twice in succession). Worth a try I suppose.
