Mend Samsung E700 Battery Water

Samsung E700, keypad always lit up !!!!?

I dropped my samsung into water six months ago, and have just recently brought it out to check it.
It works pefectly except that the keypad lights are 'permanantly on' ! (killing my battery).
Any ideas? Thanx

make sure buttons aren't sticking. sounds like a fault with a circuit otherwise. the phone may still be damp, keep it in an airing cupboard for a couple of days.
