how can I fix my Bosch fridge freezer KGV 2604 wont switch on !!?
My Bosch fridge freezer has power and the pump (compressor work fine) it will not however trip itself on to circulate the refrigirant until it gets to room temperature.
hello, my Bosch fridge freezer KGBV36A seem ok but the freezer door seal at the top of the door keeps getting very hot. I assume its some kind of anti-freeze device to stop the door from freezing but it seem to be heating the fridge section
Can you give me some advice on how to disconnect the door heater?

my bocsh larder fridge does nothing,no noise,no cold no nothing, except the light works...... why?
Its in the garage and has not been used for about three months but was fine when we turned it off seems a shame to just throw it out (recycle it!) its in good nick otherwise.

Would like to thank Sandy Small for answer to fixing our sick Bosch KGV2604-GN/05. Following despair at visiting "repairers" quote of £160 (and their walking off with our £35 "diagnostic" charge!) got to work with solder and Hey presto! - a working appliance.

Sandy Small's answer of October 2005 worked for me too. If I find a source of a sensor I'll pass it on.

I have just applied this "fix" and it seems to be working. Any one any idea on what actually needs replacing to solve the problem? Is it just the thermeistor?

Thanks for the fix above.
In my case the collours used on the connector were different. By trying (simply by shorting two wires and listen for the pump) I found which two wires I had to short.

Got my KGV2604 going as well, but I wonder how easy or otherwise it is to obtain and replace the temperature sensor?

Repair to Bosch fridge freezer KGV3104GB
This MIGHT be the same as yours!
Detach top panel above fridge door and "hinge" it down towards you attached to its connecting wires. See if the connector on the right has a thick black wire (nearest the fridge) and two brown wires. The faulty fridge temp. sensor can be shorted out by connecting the black wire to the brown wire next to it. I managed this by bridging the corresponding points on the PCB with a blob of solder. My fridge freezer works OK now on the freezer sensor. Hope this works with yours!
