machine seems to be overfilling what can i do to stop this?

use machine to do a wash. left door ajar and water came into the machine when it was switched off.i woke up to find water on the floor what can i do to stop this happening again.

one of your inlet water solenoid valves is letting water past the rubber washer, may the hot maybe cold will need to checked then the faulty one changed
Question, why don't you turn off your ISOLATION taps after washing? this is why they are fitted and called this to ISOLATE the water supply to the machine.
