can you help me troubleshoot my homelite trimmer problem?

during use, everything stopped and spool now won't even turn by hand - homelite straight shaft gas trimmer

The centrifugal clutch should release the engine from the shaft and spool assembly. Remove the engine from the shaft assembly and if the spool is still bound up, dismantle the shaft and gear assembly as required. Check to see if grass or string has not wound up behind the spool head. Otherwise, you probably have a seized bearing somewhere or maybe a broken gear within the elbow of the shaft.
