Mend Vauxhall Corsa Heavy Help Started

vauxhall corsa 1.4 breeze?

I really need some heavy duty help.
It started about 8 months ago with slight hesitation when floored and has progressivly got worse until it broke down completely ,i was able to rev it in nuetral but as soon as any load would peter out now will not even start.
I have checked fuel delivery if i take fuel return hose off it has a good pressure and the single piont injector is pulsing fuel when cranked.
Got good sparks, laid all four on the deck with plugs in and got good loud sparks.
I have checked cam timing is ok and when i remove crank pulser cable i no longer get spark or fuel.
I have between 120-160 psi on cylinders and the cam is in one piece.
Hace done the pin 5 to 6 thing and got 2 codes repeating which were 0200 and 1405 and have cleaned and inspected erg valve.
I am now tearing what hair i have out and cannot possibly think what else to check.
I have fuel delivery, i have sparks,i have compression, timing not slipped, bought and fitted new fuel filter and HT lead set.PLEASE HELP.

I've just had a corsa 1.2 8 valve woodruff key shear job as well... seems to be a common fault, no? engine code x12sz by the way. bent 3 exhaust valves, had head recon'd and put back together, didnt start, turned like but no start. Had spark, compression, fuel.... pulled hair out but then... had another look at the pulley, cleaned it and found the key had sheared and disappeared. Then it all made perfect sense

I had a similar problem with my Kia pride and found out the small carbon knob inside the distributor cap had broken. Electricity was still getting to the plugs, but not enought to actually get the car moving. As you said, reved fine in neutral but would not pull away. Try checking inside the distributor, or replace that and the rotor arm together too. They are usually cheap enough.

Hope you find whats wrong.

Sorted,it was the crankshaft sprocket woodruff key that had sheared so ut looked like the cam timing was ok as the pulley is held in place by another key on the sprocket.
Oh well all good fun. Thanks for all your help.

mate have i had a rough time the replacment injector carb made no difference only to find the battery in my multimeter was knackered and giving eronious readings.
Now i said i had checked the pulley, which i did but not the lower cam sprocket, turns out the woodruff key has sheared and shifted.I thought the key was the raised part that locks the pulley to the sprocket.DOH.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME EVERYBODY

1998 Corsa 1.2 with techtronic needed a replacement sensor on the back of the block part number 90541520 at £15 to fix exactly same problem.

This is to do with the ignition timing in the brain module that changes the timing based on the temp of the engine.

good luck

The butterfly opens and closes ok and this model does not have air flow meter just a throttle opening gauge.
Does anyone think it could be a degenerative crank sensor,ie weak pulse sensing throwing the ECU out.like i said there is sparks and fuel is being discharged under cranking.

The only thing i can think of is air supply. Has it got any type of air flow meter? Are the throttle butterflys stuck fully shut or open? I have heard quite a few people saying their cars started to get hesitant and sluggish up hills and with full loads. The most common cure is a new air flow meter. Check on the engine side of the throttle linkage for any air leaks. Any air introduced into the engine without going thru a meter can really mess things up! Best of luck. If any of my thoughts work can you please put a reply on this post.
