Lower the window then spray some furniture polish down between the rubbers witch the glass sits between. Sounds daft i know, but i have seen this work many times.

Thanks for your help!! It seems to stick once in a while. My son's car. He's in Europe right now. Anyway, I found a note from him saying to start car in Neutral and set E-Brake before turning switch. It must be sticking also plus maybe something crazy with solenoid. I appreciate your help. I'm going to have it serviced and give it a small shot of oil if possible. Another question: The right front window sticks (electric). It'll come loose if you toggle switch a few time. Any solutions? Thanks.

The click you can hear is the solonoid. It could be that the starter is partially seized. Take a bar and place it on the starter casing and give it a tap with a hammer. Not to hard or you will crack the casing! This should free the starter.
