Its holds the waste toner in the drum, it feeds it in through the u shape tube on the front from the cleaner assembley and you can empty it if you remove the two screws on the front drum cover, you should take the bushing out and empty it. It would have feed back to the cleaner unit and pushes a spring gear on the rear to make a micro switch, the tube will spring off under the waste toner presure, so, take care.
