Mend Sharp ER-3110 Cash Register

Sharp ECR ER-3110 "MOTOR LOCK"?

The Sharp electronic cash register ER-3110 displayed "MOTOR LOCK" after a paper jam. I have only the manager key. I can't open the till and it has no respond to any butten. Please help.

Hi.
'MOTOR LOCK' is a command which is sent from a kitchen printer when it cannot print due to a jam up. You will need to initialise your kitchen printer by turning it off and on again. Make sure you can feed the paper with the feed button. Then try turning the cash reg key to REG mode, then turn power to register off at wall for 5 seconds. turn power back on, and press clear on the register.
