Mend LG WM1814CW Washing Machine Troubleshooting Drum

Troubleshooting for My LG WM1814CW washer?

I turn the washer on and push start and it begins to fill with water. When the drum tries to turn, it powers completely off. Sometimes it does run and other times it won't. Any one else have this problem?

I see this problem occured in 2008 and it's now 2010 but if it helps someone else........I too have been having this problem except mine cuts off at various times during the cycle. If I find the problem, I will post here. If you find the answer....PLEASE post!!!
