My renault megane is over revving @ 5000rpm?

the air intake manifold has 4 rubber seals underneath when you remove it. when removing you must have dropped one of the seals. if not then on the top right corner of the inlet manifold has a sensor that is very fragile when removing, that will need replacing. this may also make your catlayic converter glow red hot due to this problem. hope this helps :-)
