Mend Hotpoint TDC30s Condenser Dryer No Heat Thermostat

How can I fix my Hotpoint Aquarius Condenser Dryer ?

I have a Hotpoint TDC30s Tumble Dryer which tumbles but no heat. Do i have to replace the thermostat???

I had the same problem with a secondhand machine I just bought. Before you start disassembling your machine, have you cleaned the filter at the back of the door? Mine was completely bunged up with fluff, which I removed. Hey presto, dryer now heats up!

Hi Ellen sorry but I can't answer your question. the reason I'm replying is I have exactly the same problem with the same tumble dryer and I'm unsure how to find out what to replace. You've mentioned the thermostat, I've assumed it was the element.
can anyone point us in the right direction?
