How can I fix my Hotpoint Aquarius Condenser Dryer ?

I had the same problem with a secondhand machine I just bought. Before you start disassembling your machine, have you cleaned the filter at the back of the door? Mine was completely bunged up with fluff, which I removed. Hey presto, dryer now heats up!

Hi Ellen sorry but I can't answer your question. the reason I'm replying is I have exactly the same problem with the same tumble dryer and I'm unsure how to find out what to replace. You've mentioned the thermostat, I've assumed it was the element.
can anyone point us in the right direction?
