Ours is about 6 years old (& has just gone wrong!). I seem to remember the door fits on with 2 screws near the top which screw in to the wood and the heads fit into oval type slots and near the bottom 2 more screws screw in through the edge of the machine frame in to the wooden door. We had to cut some off the plinth to avoid it jamming. The controls are easy - the right hand button switches it on and the left one is used to choose the programme (rinse,glass,eco,normal,strong). Each press moves it to the next cycle and the corresponding light flashes. If you hold it down the light stops flashing and when the door is closed the machine starts!
Our top spray bar tends to get bits in the end holes which leaves residue in mugs etc and needs to be poked out! Good luck!
