why does treadmill stop when i stand on it?

treadmill works great till i stand on it then it stops. any ideas?

Check the tension of the belt - it may be too loose. When you stand on it there is not enough grip to make the belt move. Check your manual on how to do it and make sure you do both sides equally or it will move to one side and can get damaged - your manual will expalin properly. Good luck.
