replacing primer bulb and fuel lines on Weed Eater Prolite?

If you remove the gas tank be sure to get a good seal between the engine block and the gas tank. This assumes that yours like mine uses the gas tank to cover the back of the crankcase. Remember the air fuel mixture on these 2 strokes goes through the crankcase on it's way to the combustion chamber. If the seal is bad the engine will pull in air the has not gone through the carb. Bad Very Bad!

if you have 2 size lines replace all. cut each one on one end at a long angle and slide each one into a hole in bottom of tank and pull out of cap opening. cut off the angles you made and install new fuel filter on small line. if you found that little plastic hose to hose fitting in gas tank put it on the other line you pulled out of the gas cap opening it will keep you from pull the line back thru the hole as you now pull it back down to about half in left standing in tank. and the filter line you just drop it in so it can roll all over bottom of tank. NOW the fuel flow will suck into filter to the low nozzle on carb out top nozzle to suction of primer bulb out discharge of bulb into your large hose you installed into tank. you will need to check your bulb to see what nozzle sucks and which one blows out with your finger. so the gas just loops around and blows back into tank when you prime the bulb. you will have to cut a small line to go from top nozzle of carb to bulb. remember to wear your safety glass and to pour that old gas in a safe place and the old lines will have gas in them to. You might have to remove carb. and fuel tank to do job. make sure you dont crimp off fuel lines when instaling carb. this could happen if you cut line to long.
