How can I get the cover off a close-couples cistern?
How can I get the cover off a close-couples cistern? I would like to look inside the cistern as water continually flows into the panh, so I assume there's something wrong with the ball cock. It's a Ideal Standard Model.
I take it that the toilet is a dual flush push button model . If so if you push one of the buttons down slightly you will see a grove in the other button , use the grove to pop that button out with a screwdriver then pop out the other button then usually there is a large screw holding the top piece onto the syphon undo that and the lid should lift off ok .
