Ford fiesta zetec 1999 1.25 fan heating problems?

i have the same problem, heater stuck on hot and bothe the pipes goin to the heater valve are both hot to? is this right b4 i would prefer to no b4 spending money on a heater valve? thx

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME FOUND A LITTLE LEVER DOWN THE SIDE OF CENTRE CONSOLE MOVED TO DIFFERENT DIRECTION AND PROBLEM SOLVED

Hi, with the engine at working temp, select the heater control to the mid temperature position, you should be able to feel the heater valve pulsating, if it doesn't check fuse#13 (in the fusebox in the car) if thats OK, check the resistance of the heater valve, it should be between 10~25 Ohms if it's not replace the valve if Ok, measure the voltage across the heater valve it should be pulsing, if it is check the heater matrix for blockages, if the voltage doesn't pulse inspect the wiring,pin1(violet/black) of the heater valve should have 12v with the ignition switch ON and pin2 (black/green) should go to pin5 of the heater control panel, if no problems remove the heater control panel and check pin6 is connected to earth, pin2 for 12v battery (ignition off) and pin12 for 12v with ignition ON if this is OK replace the heater control electronic board. In the event that the control panel electronics board fails the heater valve will fail to the full heat setting and if it looses the engine speed input it will fail to the full cold setting.nige110162@hotmail.co.uk
