Singer Tempo 50 - Foot Raiser?

Hello Sandy,
Get some WD40 and put some on the presser bar and leave it for about an hour so it can seep down the presser bar, the presser bar is a very tight fit and it can just seize up if it is dry, if you have a presser foot adjuster then slacken it right off, if you can take the presser foot off and put something like a large screwdriver under the bar and then gently lever it up, once it moves it will free off straight away.
