Mend Vauxhall Vectra Fault Car Start

Vauxhall Vectra ignition fault?

97 2.0 ecotec vectra. Ignition is permanently on and the car will not start (dead at the key).Today I have changed the rocker gasket degreased the engine and rinsed being very careful where the water went The passenger seat has been removed to change some trim the plug under the seat was unplugged for this task. Any Ideas anyone.

FAULT RECTIFIED. By coincidence the ignition barrel shaft had snapped in the on position!!!
