Removing caught tape in video ?

Hi don't know the model but with any that I've tackled you only needed to remove the lid then you could see the tape and you just unthreaded it from the guides and pulleys where it's tangled ,if the cause is the tape itself...old and worn then don't use it again and all will be well but if it isn't the tape that's he problem then the trouble will happen again
