anybody got an idea what the ticking noise may be on my corsa 52 reg?
vauxhall corsa 52 reg when engine is warm and stood stll it starts ticking seems to be on the drivers side of the engine not took it into vauxhall yet. mate said it might be the timing chain.
when engine is revved slightly noise goes away.
have got a 52 plate corsa, mine is ticking really loud dammed annoying aint it. will let you know what they say. in the meantime goodluck.

my dad has the same problem on his 24v cosworth at cold start up but is only for few seconds, he said its the oil pressure draining from the chains and causes the chains to rattle but only for few seconds off cold start up
maybe this helps, not quite sure tho

I have recently had the same problem with my 53 reg corsa and it turned out to be the timing chain (luckily covered under warranty). The garage said it was becoming a common problem with the new corsa's....along with the many other things that have gone wrong with it!
