Hi again Kirsty,
I think I have found out the problem with my drier. I unpluged the drier, took the large metal cover off the back which covers over the heater. On the top of heater there are two thermal cut out's. Each cut out has two wires connected to it with spade terminals. Each in turn I slipped the
terminals off the thermal cut outs and conected the ends together (to bypass the thermal cut out) and the tried turning the drier on. Low and behold on bypassing the second thermal cut out the drier was working with heat again! I have removed the thermal cut out from the drier and intend taking it to my local spares centre tommorow to get a replacement. I have seen the same thermal cut out's advertised with online suppliers for £15.00 incl vat.
I hope this is the same problem as you have as it is a very easy fix and not too expensive. It is no more than removing a few screws to remove the cover. The thermal cut outs are easily removed with just one small screw holding them in place.
Please let me know how you go on
