Mend Citroen Xsara Picasso Battery Immobiliser Fault

How do I disconnect the battery temporarily on a xsara picasso?

My immobilisrer has a fault and the car won't start. I've been told to disconnect the battery then reaatach and try again. How do I go about it. I've tried disconnecting the small black junction type box under the front seat but can't get it apart.

under your bonnett you will see your car battery, just disconect the negative (black) lead. just remember to conect it afterwards
