Mend Mountfield RV150 Lawnmower Petrol

mountfield rv150 petrol lawnmower?

started ok on last start. now there is no tension on pull cord. have only used this lawnmower twice as it is only new. no way this is going to start.
any ideas greatly received as i am a lady living on her own with no idea how to fix it.

The starter mechanism is a weak point on these - it can be removed easily by undoing the 3 chrome nuts on the top of the engine.

If (as I suspect) it has dis-integrated inderneath, the only answer is replacement. About £28, but if it's less than a year old, get it fixed under warrenty.
