As I drive along the central locking activates and I'm locked in, when I open the door, or operate the door lock switch, they unlock. Not a problem unless of course I'm unconciouse after an accident and rescuers can't get me out! I have also had two occurences of a flat battery after being stationary with the radio on, maybe the two are linked?
This is not a fault.
It is to stop anyone jumping in the car with you when you are stopped, at traffic lights etc.
It activates when you reach 10mph.
Don't worry about the emergency services - they have big hammers.

Hi Alot of cars automatically lock when the speed is over 6mph in forward motion and stay locked until you open the door this is for security due to theft while your at traffic jam or lights or sumone jumping in..
in emergencys or crashes central locking automatically disengages and opens
