how to fix lock on external uvpc door it will not open?
my external door will not open it appears to be stuck at the bottom i think i should remove the door from hinges but how can you do this when the door won't open i have tried pushing it also tried to put oil in lock no success door is standard external uvpc
probably just needs adjustment on hinges but this is hard to tell you what to do without knowing what hinges you have. an allen key or small flat screwdriver is required. it is aso common for the door not to have been toe and heeled properly. this is not for a layperson to attempt.
if you want to open door then disengage the locks and then lift door sash using the hub of the handle and then push or pull. be aware you may need to repeat this process in order to shut the door.
also when door is open it is possible to adjust locks and keeps on door sash and frame using allen keys and screwdrivers.
