kaaz petrol hedge trimmer wont start running slow cuts on choke ???help plz?

My V20 is always playing up if not in constant use. Try full choke using pre-set trigger on handle (pump the primer 2-3 times. After half-dozen pulls try easing the choke down slightly & prime fuel again. If its not responding with any sign of life, use choke off and prime 2-3 times with full trigger pressure on handle. If you get sounds of life try feathering the trigger (accelerator) with patience mine eventually comes good but requires light feathering until it eventually catches full spark or clears fuel?.

Like Mike I might have to replace it (now running on repaired fuel tank) but is this not the BEST little machine on the market?? (I believe it runs a Mitsubishi crank) - a quality item that has endured over time.

i have same problem,i can get it to run but it slutters abit then cuts out and wont start again unless left for a while.ive stripped the card down and cleaned with carb cleaner but has no effect

I have mine in the shop where they say the pump won't get gas into the carb - something I saw when I tried to prime it before trying to give it a start (when I bought it 20+ years ago I was told to use the pump after pushing the bulb a couple times until I saw gas in the drain tube).
No gas, no start. Trouble is, my local repair shop is unsure if he can get parts. Might need to replace this wonderful machine after all these years...

try cleaning carb , i have old v20 trimmer did same thing,took carb apart cleaned with carb cleaner spray now runs great

I wish I knew ? Trying to start mine (KT 12 engine)
Have a great blue spark , timing right , carb appears fine .....but nothing! Trying to start it on full choke and full throttle ...correct?

Will share any knowledge (?)
