HELP Loud knocking from back wheel of Tigra ... :-(?

First, check that the wheel nuts aren't loose. Then, jack the car up on that corner, handbrake off, and see if the wheel will rock from side to side or up and down. This will determine if the wheel bearings are ok. When you are down there, grasp the exhaust pipe and waggle it to and fro. There is just a chance that the exhaust pipe may be banging off the bodywork.
