Mend Singer 801 Oil Removing Best

where do i oil it? can't find a way of removing top plate?

i need to oil my machine.i've gotten into the bottom section but wondered how to get the top plate off(if it comes off?) and where is best to oil it? mine is a 801

Hello Jane,
An 801 what make ? you can only oil the parts that you can see on most machines these days, if you can take the top off the machine all well and good but remember to only put a few drops of oil on all moving parts.
