Why won't my filter screw back in? Help me please!!!!?
I have a Servis washing machine, it leaked from the filter, I unscrewed the filter and cleared it (small amount of fluff and one earing) when I went to screw it back in it would not go in, I tried various positons of the rubber washer, even without it just to see if it still screwed in but NOTHING!!! It just wont go in, my dad has looked at it, my neighbour and even a (rubbish) plumber. Anyone got any advice PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE or a free washing machine failing that!

When I tried to refit my filter it just turned and turned and wouldn't screw in.
It's the two guides/lugs.

Hi Julia,
Just done the same job on mine.
First make sure nothing else is stuck in the hole, I prod mine out with a chopstick including turning the pump which I can see at end of hole.
Also, the bit that screws in has two lugs that stick out just beneath where you hold it. check they are in the two small cutouts where you screw the filter in.
Use a torch and look really carefully what is stopping it screwing in. The lugs may be the answer. Hope so.
