my oil boilers lockout light is on and is not working . How can i fix it?

there should be a reset for this.look in the manufacturers handbook for position if you dont have it check it out on the web.if prob persists call an engineer. could be faulty stat and unit is going overtemp,gas valve,or just require a good service as oil units get very dirty and must be serviced regularly.but could be a lot of things wrong anything on the start sequence would cause a lockout
