How To Hook Up A Dwell Meter?

How to hook up a Dwell Meter to set ignition points,rather than using gage to set them? Got the dwell meter at yard sale,no manual (of coarse),and need help to be certain I don't burn anything up!

Hi a dwell meter is a more acurate method of setting the contact breaker points. The dwell angle for a 4 cylinder lucas distributor (MGB) is for a 25d4 Lucas distributor 60 degrees plus or minus 3 degrees and for a 45d4 distributor 51 degrees plus or minus 5 degrees.

WOW!OLD TIME.FROM MEMORY,METER + TO POINTS LOW TENSION METER - TO ENGINE EARTH SEEM TO RECAL ID CHASE WIRE FROM DIZZY TO COIL AND PROBE THERE.ONLY ONE I CAN REMEMBER IS 45%FOR 4 CYL.
