Mend Vauxhall Vectra Smoke Exhaust Noise

vauxhall vectra 1.8 16v?

i am having bad smoke form the exhaust and noise on engine when pulling away i've been told its the oilpump if so how do i change it or could it be anything else?

The smoke could be you burning it, the noise could be excessive wear as a result of low or no oil in the sump. As for what it could be, I don't know. Have you checked to see if your spark plugs are coated with oily residue or burnt oil deposites?
You could always get a sencond mechanics opinion.
