ravenheat 820 no hot water?

i have a ravenheart 820,have previously had to have heating on to obtain hot water,to avoid overheating and stat cutting in.
now have luke warm water,good flow,water stat seems to work
clicking on full and reduced pressure,with heating on or off,pipe out of heat exchanger luke warm as well,fault guide bit inconclusive,any ideas welcome,should i try a stat ?
