1999 Fiesta Misfiring?

im having the same problem with my 2000 fiesta, iv changed the plugs and coil pack, i had new leads tht i tryd with the old coil pack and it didnt work i thot the leads wer failty, now i have new plugs and a coil pack nd still a misfire, i sugest if u have a distributor remove the cap check that the contacta are clean and dry, then check your spark plugs, what can hapen is if they havent been changed in a while the earth electrode can wear causin a misfire underload, just like your experiancing

if the high tension leads arent the problem try the air flow meter,had a similar promblem recently

sounds like the insulation is breaking down in the leads plug caps or if the model with distributor then cap and arm if the twin coil model then 1 of the coils either way its ignition high tension problems open bonnet at night so its dark and snap the throttle open while watching the leads /cap /plugs u may see sparks jumping to earth (the engine metal)also listen for snaps/crackles
