"Remove Paper - Standard Bin" or a "Std Bin Full error"
Possible causes of the error:
• The paper exit bin located on the top of the printer is full of paper. This error is usually triggered when 250 or so pages are sitting in the exit bin.
• The paper exit flag/guide on the top right-hand side is stuck or is loose. This will cause the printer to think the paper exit bin is full.
Remove all paper from the output bin
The first step is to remove all paper from the top exit bin area of the printer. The error should clear on its own and you will be able to continue using the printer.
If there is no paper in the exit bin, or if removing the paper does not clear the error, the top right-hand side paper exit flag/guide may need attention.
Check the right-hand side paper exit guide
The right-hand side paper exit guide controls the sensor that tells the printer when the top exit bin is full. If something goes wrong with this guide, the printer will stop working and post a "Standard Bin Full" type error.
The location of the top right-hand side paper exit flag/guide is highlighted in the image below. Check to see if this guide is stuck, hanging loose, damaged, or missing from the printer.
If the guide has popped out of one of its holders, it can get stuck in the raised position or hang loose, causing the printer to think that the exit area is full of paper. In this case, you can attempt to snap the guide back into place.
If the guide has separated completely from the printer or is broken, the printer will require service to correct the issue.
