have 2 different weed wackers that stall?

have 2 different weed wackers both will start but try to throtle up and they will stall, 1 homelite,1 weed eater

Your choke could be dirty, or the magneto (little metal piece connected to spark-plug lead) could be dirty, if you can try removing the magneto (normally a phillips screwdriver should do the trick) and cleaning the contacts with a pce of fine sandpaper then re-connecting it.
